Mothersill Residence by Bates Masi Architects
Somewhere in the dunes of Eastern Long Island, United States lies this beauty of a residence. It’s created by Bates Masi Architects and we would like tell you a bit more about it.
The coolest thing about this property is probably it’s use of boardwalks. These things are very common in the dunes, but you don’t see them that much with a normal residence. Well, in the house they are well represented.
The place consists of 2 structures (former Gellar structures). A small house and a studio (both built in 1962). They are connected - of course - by another boardwalk. Bates Masi turned them into a design that would unify disparate elements. Well, nuff said. Go check it out.
