Clean Eating is the New Cool
Clean eating isn’t just another diet, it’s all about having a happy and healthy lifestyle. The key to clean eating is to really consider the food you’re eating, where it’s come from and to try to consume it the way nature intended. An overall healthy lifestyle is really important because, as the infographic below shows, the leading cause of death in this decade is heart disease and 60% of all deaths worldwide are now due to chronic illness.
Patient-centered care is the next evolution and the healthcare reform is providing many opportunities for nurses to make a difference in developing new ways to facilitate change. As the following information from the University of Arizona shows, over 1 million new and replacement registered nurses are needed by 2016 to provide for the healthcare changes. With so many new developments happening in the healthcare system it’s more important than ever to promote a healthy lifestyle.
